    Job summary

    We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacy assistant to join our pharmacy team within the Pharmacy Homecare team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

    The Pharmacy Homecare team are responsible for the ordering, supply checking and distribution of Long Term Homecare Medication to our patients, liaising and arranging supply with a multitude of eternal companies. As part of this team working alongside Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists in Pharmacy Homecare as well as the large department.

    You will also participate in dispensary rotations to carrying out dispensing duties. This will include late night and weekend cover.

    Main duties of the job

  • To provide support to the Pharmacy Homecare team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. To perform a wide range of ordering, receiving, delivery, invoicing and supply duties.
  • To carry out day to day tasks relating to the provision of Pharmacy Homecare services, under the supervision of the lead pharmacy technician.
  • Support and maintain a safe, efficient timely and accurate service ensuring the required standards are met.
  • Support the team with dispensing duties, reception duties and ward stock replenishment.
