Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of structural analysis in the aerospace industry? We're seeking a dynamic Senior Stress Engineer to join our team in Derby, UK, and take on a pivotal role in ensuring the structural integrity of our cutting-edge turbomachinery designs.
Collaborate closely with IPT leads and Program Engineering Managers to meet project requirements and deliverables.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior structure engineers.
Conduct customer communications for engineering projects and lead internal design reviews with the Chief Engineer's Office.
Document lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of structural analysis methods and procedures.
Perform analytical calculations, design support, and ensure thorough documentation of structural design and analysis.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
~10+ years of applied industry stress analysis experience on turbomachinery/combustion hardware.
~ Proficiency in structural analysis methods, procedures, and finite element software packages like ABAQUS, ANSYS, or NASTRAN.
~ CAD experience, preferably with NX proficiency.
