    Tradestock Ltd is one of the leading housewares suppliers in the UK, our retail focused, and design led client base covers a wide spectrum of customers including 'major 4' Grocery and High profile National retail chain stores as well as independent retailers; we supply our own portfolio of branded as well as customer branded products.

    We are currently recruiting for the position of National Account Manager to assist in driving our business forward, while maintaining our current customer portfolio and revenue streams.


    The Role:


    As the National Account Manager for your defined portfolio of grocery/National retailer accounts you will be directly responsible for developing and delivering the annual sales plan, with overall Sales and Margin ownership for your accounts.

    You will set in place joint business plans with each national account that align with channel and sales strategy to develop and grow existing and new business opportunities across your portfolio.

    The position of National Account Manager will join the team, in a home-based role, preferably centrally located for ease of access to all major customers, with the flexibility to visit our offices in Wellington for collaborative NPD schedules.


    Responsibilities:
    Be accountable for the sales and profit performance of your account base.
    Own and develop account relationships end to end.

    New business, product listings and improve margin within existing accountsDeliver account specific promotional plansInfluence and manage trading relationshipsInvestigate and help to resolve queries and issues raised.

    Manage the annual NPD customer presentations and range review processNegotiate and manage trading termsCreate and deliver business forecasting for your set of accounts in line with company strategyReport monthly on progress versus targets, including actions to be taken to address any shortfalls.

    Attend shows, exhibitions and networking eventsActively increasing our portfolio of national account customers by identifying new business opportunities and managing end to end process of a new trading account.


    The Ideal Candidate:
    Educated to degree level (but not essential)Demonstrate National Account management experience preferably, but not essentially within an FMCG company.
    Minimum 3 years experience in account management/sales at this level.

    Top 4 grocery and/or multiple chain retailer experience preferredExperience managing a P&LExcellent commercial acumenCross-functional exposureStrong negotiation/influencing skillsStrong organisational skillsAbility to trade in a seasonal businessMS Excel/PowerPoint competencySuccess achieving sales profitability and budget goalsAbility to form and develop relationships both internally and externallyStrong idea generation and problem-solving skillsSalary £45k-£55k dependent on experience, commissions paid monthly.
