    Description

    Step Teachers are currently working with an excellent school in Ilford in search of a SEND Teaching Assistant to help in the class with children who have SEND needs. This SEND Teaching Assistant role is an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic term previous experience with SEND children is essential.

    This wonderful school values their school community and strives to nurture the children's personal, social and emotional development. You will be supported in the class with fellow SEND Teaching Assistants.

    SEND Teaching Assistant Role:

    • Provide one-on-one assistance
    • Assist with classroom management and create a positive and safe classroom atmosphere
    • Encourage the student participation and engagement in classroom activities
    • Help maintain a clean and organised learning environment
    • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns

    SEND Teaching Assistant Requirements:

    • Previous experience working with young children, especially in an educational setting, is an advantage
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
    • A genuine passion for working with children with SEN
