Manchester area (hybrid & flexible working, 1-2 days a week in the office)

Our client is a UK leading, rapidly expanding PE backed services business.
Owned by a larger group, they have plans to double business turnover in the next 3 years through organic growth and acquisitions.
This role will report directly to the Head of FinancialControl and have full responsibility for the overall integrity of finances and internal controls over financial reporting ensuring full alignment with group policy.

- Overseeing financial control environment ensuring group standards are adhered to
- Ensure all management, statutory and financial reporting is completed accurately and consistently to deadlines
- Leading on annual statutory audit process for both group reporting and statutory financial statements, ensuring filed on time liaising with auditors as first POC
- Supporting Head of Financial Control with finance change programme and a number of strategic projects
- Coordinating monthend processes across all business to ensure month end result within tight timelines, identifying opportunities to reduce month end time
- Completing all submissions for tax, bank and statutory reporting purposes
- Partnering with the FP&A and RTR team to ensure all costs are recorded correctly and business partnering with wider business units
- Overseeing team and ensuring all key deliverables are met alongside coaching/guidance and development of the team
- Overall control of general ledger integrity, adhering to group accounting policies, group policies and business standards
- Highlighting and managing financial and operational risks across the business
- Assisting with future acquisitions, migrating into the group and adhoc projects aligning with M&A activity
Experience:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with audit background
- Exposure within a complex group structure desirable
- Experience managing VAT, statutory accounts, audit and IFRS
- Keen to progress & develop in a fast moving, everchanging business
