    Role Purpose

    One of our key "Spirit" behaviours here at Vodafone is titled "Create the Future" – and here you have an opportunity to do just that. We are scaling up a team that will deliver a platform, service and support for us to engage with a new and until now underserved customer group - the developer.

    To that end, this role is accountable for:
    Management and advocacy of Vodafone's first global Developer Marketplace. Champion the voice of the customer, evangelising the needs of the developer community Vodafone-wide to educate the business and strive towards excellence in product execution. Bringing strategy to life with responsibilities ranging from defining programs that enable community engagement and growth, to event management.

    What you'll do


    • Catalyse an external and internal audience to build an active, loyal, and passionate developer community

    • Develop and execute the strategy to generate awareness of Vodafone's Developer marketplace, including community sponsorships, office hours, events, and identifying speaking gigs.

    • Engage with broader developer communities, internally and externally, to advocate and for Vodafone products and partner products.

    • Build, manage, and curate discussion on the Developer Marketplace forum—targeting audiences that will benefit from the Vodafone marketplace.

    • Drive promotion and awareness at events and organising engagements such as hackathons.

    Who you are

    5+ years of building and leading community programs in Developer Relations, Community Management, Product Marketing, Product Management, Technical Engineering, CX Management or similar roles

    • Community management and developer stakeholder management skills

    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively educate audiences in both written and verbal forms

    • An analytical and data-driven approach to building and nurturing communities

    • Experience facilitating sensitive and complex community situations with empathy, judgment, and tact

    • Ability to think like a developer and be passionate about making developers happy; even better, you know how to code
    Business / Technical degree

    • Experience working with developers' community

    • 3-4 years post university, preferably in consulting, strategy or marketing function in a global MNC

    • Proven experience of identifying and onboarding new partners/ customers/developers/investors

    • Strong business and technical acumen

    • Proven track record of stakeholder engagement

    • Experience of working in Agile/ Design Thinking

    • Detailed knowledge of Customer Insights management
