your duties and responsibilities will be

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)

the following qualities/experience are desirable

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Experience of development and delivery of HSE training
  • Additional relevant skills and qualifications in any technical area
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (oil & gas, pharma, process, nuclear etc.)
  • Qualified to or working towards CMIOSH
key responsibilities

  • Assist the project management teams in the implementation of our client and Project H&S requirements and objectives
  • Support and advise Project delivery teams on planning and implementation of our client H&S Management system, strategy, and objectives
  • Provide H&S support and advice to the projects to ensure a structured riskbased approach
  • Conduct site audits and inspections and ensure these are also undertaken by the project management team and supervision.
  • Liaise with customer H&S representatives and attend meetings/forums as required
  • Ensure, assist, and support the investigation of accidents, incidents and high risk near miss events to determine route causes and preventative measures to prevent reoccurrence
  • Facilitate H&S specific training and awareness programs
  • Assist and/or lead (where required) external H&S audits
  • Provide input to the development of the following
  • H&S Management Systems, Processes and 45001 accreditations
  • External award programs e.g. RoSPA, ECIA etc
essential skills/knowledge

  • In depth knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation
  • Knowledge of insurance legislation and practice
  • Understanding of construction industry and construction processes
  • Familiarity with QA systems and compliance
Desirable Skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiating and influencing skills to enable effective communication at all levels within the organisation, with clients and specialist advisors

  • Attend any project, client and or construction meetings where H&S input may be required
qualifications

  • You will hold a current NEBOSH general certificate as a minimum
  • You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of providing an excellent Health and Safety service for an organisation operating within one or more of the following industries; chemical, nuclear, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and utilities
  • You will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, professional and personal presentation skills when liaising with Directors, senior managers, clients, external agencies employees and subcontractors
