Description
Are you a whizz on Adobe Illustrator, able to pick up systems with ease?

Do you have a proven background in designing Womenswear multi product garments, specifically for a brand or the outdoor/lifestyle industry?

Want to work for a brand with sustainability and innovation at it's heart?


If so, we have an opportunity for a
Womenswear Designer to join our Design team here at
Craghoppers in Urmston, Manchester.


The Impact you will have in this role is:

Research

  • Opportunities are identified through an understanding of the market, key trends and our competitors offering
  • Create working design boards to establish handwriting for each season
  • Design briefs and price targets are set in collaboration with the Buying team
  • Our Customers' requirements are identified and met through working closely with relevant areas of the business
  • Branding guidelines are developed through brand research

Colour

  • Trendled commercial seasonal colour palettes are created that are relevant to our market
  • Your knowledge of colour trends is always fresh and you keep the team updated on your research
  • Responsible for buying colour standards

Strategy

  • Strategy reviews are prepared to a high standard
  • CADs, graphics and stencils, checks and stripes are all prepared to a high standard
  • Each season is well planned with a clear design direction
  • Men's and women's products are consistent across the ranges
  • Collections are presented confidently at internal and external meetings

Branding and accessories

  • New artwork is designed and developed in line with the brand's plans and themes
  • Handwriting is kept consistent

Performance Indicators:


  • Sales by product category and channel
  • Samples produced on time
  • Relevant governance/professional standards, e.g. GDPR

As our future Designer you will have:

  • Computer literate with full understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, CAD software and Excel
  • Technical spec building, strong graphic skills, technical knowledge of clothing, People Management, presentation skills
  • Significant relevant experience in Design at a Senior level for a branded company.
  • Experience range planning, with sales analysis and managing SKU count
  • Brand Awareness and product relevance
