    As a Solution Design Engineer you would be part of the Consulting and Design group primarily focusing on developing technical solutions for our customers.

    This will include data analysis using MS Access and MS Excel, development of distribution and fulfilment centre solutions and producing layout concepts drawings in SketchUp and/or AutoCAD.This position is based in Redditch with hybrid or remote working available.

    ResponsibilitiesAssessment of existing customer operations to identify areas of opportunity for SwisslogCarry out detailed analysis of complex customer data in order to summarise business performance, trends and future requirementsCreation of optimal material flow principles and design that deliver customer benefit based around lifetime costs and key customer valueDevelopment and evaluation of possible distribution and fulfilment concepts and solutions that meet customer requirements and valuesCompilation of documentation and presentations for customer offers that clearly and simply demonstrate the benefit of the proposed Swisslog solutionUse and development of standard solution optimisation and assessment toolsSupport development of software strategies that align to optimise the overall solution designReview solutions, technical specifications and drawings.

    To coordinate the integration and overall design between Swisslog and other sub suppliers.
    Make suitable presentations in PowerPoint of technical design and solutions adapted to the forum and stakeholders present.

    Make cost calculations based on the technical design of subsystems as well as overall integrated systems within sales projects together with the Sales Project Manager.
