ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Logistic Planner actively manage and own the day2day operations across our logistics network. It's their job to resolve any issues with 3PL's, our McCain Warehouse and with our customers. They will also

  • Manage factory clearance efficiently and cost effectively while ensuring continuity in production
  • Distribution requirements planning ensure DCs hold the right stock levels to fulfil forecast and stock deployment and replenishment is planned in a costeffective manner
  • Managing and sourcing of storage requirements
  • Ensuring pallet occupancy is aligned with all warehouses and additional storage is sourced when required
  • Third party logistics provider account management (Day2Day)
  • Ensuring McCain standards and KPI's are met; support LM with data / performance details
  • System integration with Third party provider
  • Ensure all EDI, systems and processes are aligned between McCain and Third party, support system testing


  • Budget control

  • Support with cost control including SCA
  • Lead or Support Supply chain projects as required
  • Master data ensure correctness and timely completion of any master data changes / requirements
  • Importation define where to store stock and support with planning (inbound/outbound capacity / rework etc) and execution plans
  • Attend regular supply meetings with Customer Operations, Planning, Production, Stores and Transport departments to discuss and preempt any issues which may arise
  • Actively collaborate with the relevant stakeholder set in pursuit of driving effective and efficient ways of working
  • Attend warehouse corporate audits as required
  • Cover for invoice process (holidays/ absence)

ABOUT YOU
You'll already be in a similar role within a 3PL or working for an own brand label. We're looking for someone who's logical and has a systematic approach. And as well as a love of chips, we're also looking for

  • Good time management ability.
  • The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions
  • Commercial awareness and numeracy skills
  • IT literacy and ability to interpret and utilise data
  • The ability to challenge and manage change
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as manage people
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good negotiation and analytical skills
  • And a positive attitude to continued learning
