The Role

As part of Envitia exciting growth plans, we are now looking for a Software Engineer with strong C++ and Cloud Infrastructure knowledge to join our Engineering Team.

In partnership with the Product Owner, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the technical direction and future commercial success of one of Envitia's applications. You'll be a key member of a product team responsible for owning the cloud development platform, developing Envitia software and systems and owning the licensing system.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the technical development of a core Envitia application using Agile development methodology.
• Initial focus on product modernisation and license management deployment.
• Design, write and test code, refining and rewriting it as necessary, supporting and collaborating with other developers involved in the project.
• Provide accurate and timely progress updates to the Project Manager.
• Provide input to continuously improve technical processes or practices, based on practical day to day experiences.
• Ability to analyse user requirements and translate those into user stories.
• Research, design and write new software programs using current techniques and best practice.
• Ability to evaluate the software and systems that make computers and hardware work.
• Develop existing programs by analysing and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Integrate existing software products and get incompatible platforms to work together.

Key Skills

• Adaptable, ability to pick up new technologies and learn quickly.
• Expert in cloud infrastructure, applications and deployments, primarily Azure but also AWS.
• Experience as a C++ developer.
• Competent with DevOps, Jenkins, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Competency with C# and Python3.
• Experience of Linux and Windows OS, including integration.

Security Clearance Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to go through an SC security clearance.

Location

The role will be required to be in our Horsham offices 2 days a month, with the rest of the time remote based.
