Year 6 Teaching Assistant- Margate, Kent

We are in need of a motivated and dedicated Primary Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join the team on a temporary basis from Easter until the end of the academic year.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the overall learning environment in Year 6, providing traditional teaching assistant support as well as working comfortably in small, nurturing groups of pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Year 6 class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities and routines.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils, focusing on targeted areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social development.
Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment for students, encouraging engagement and participation.
Collaborate with the class teacher to implement and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
Support the overall well-being of pupils, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and other members of the school community

Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
Comfort and proficiency in working with small, nurturing groups of pupils.
A patient and supportive approach to working with children, with an understanding of the needs of Year 6 students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
