Description

As Food Specifications Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering all aspects of food specifications, artwork and corresponding systems for our clients customer portfolio to achieve overall improved customer service, business reputation and profitability.

Your main duties in this role will be

  • Ensuring food specifications are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Agreeing specifications with the development and technical teams and customer food technologists.
  • Coordinating and training the team support.
  • Coordinating the artwork process technically, liaising fully with the development, sales, purchasing and customer developers and technologists in addition to the artwork house(s).
  • Submitting specifications to relevant bodies and respond to queries as necessary.
  • Obtaining raw material and packaging specification information as necessary and maintaining appropriate records.
  • Maintaining effective and complete records for all specifications.
  • Identifying and recommending ongoing ways to minimise material waste and cost.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all company and legislative requirements.
  • Developing and retaining peer and team members, driving employee engagement.
  • Maximising and ensuring appropriate use and maintenance of production equipment.
Supporting trainee development to ensure the 'next generation' workforce.


To be considered for this role you should have the following skills/experience:

  • Experienced in food production specification management.
  • Experienced in a similar role in the food industry.
  • Able to understand and effectively implement food law and labelling requirements. into the specification and legal labelling process.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of specification writing
  • Able facilitator and motivator.
  • Flexible, adaptable and keen to support others' development.
  • Some line management experience preferred.
  • Accreditation Food Hygiene equivalent at minimum level
  • Results driven.
  • Attention to detail with some strategic potential.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.

Salary:
£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
