    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced theatres practitioner to step into a band 7 Charge Nurse/Sister role for a 12 month fixed term contract.

    This role is offering a competitive salary of £52,970 - £63,591 per annum.

    Role overview

    To support, coordinate and actively assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department while managing a delegated team.

    Provding quality planned care for patients during their perioperative phase of care, you will ensure all team members deliver quality patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership. The role will also include;

    • Assist in the delivery of patient care
    • Contribute to quality improvement
    • Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self
    • Promote best evidence-based practice within own scope of practice
    • Apply legislation, policies and procedures correctly.
    • Respect the patient's dignity, privacy, wishes and beliefs.
    • Participate in HR activities
    • Assist in the enhancement, development, introduction of services and initiatives

    Skills & Experience

    • Registered practitioner with valid NMC or HPC registration.
    • Mentorship certificate/ Practice Assessor training or demonstrable equivalent experience.
    • Extensive post graduate experience in operating theatres, with particular experience in area of key speciality
    • Significant post registration experience, some of which will be at Band 6 or above within the required specialist area of practice.
    • Experience of leading a team.
    • Thorough understanding of contemporary nursing and operating
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
