My client, a specialist engineering consultancy with projects across 70 countries are looking to recruit an Assistant HR Manager to join their Northeast based team.

This is a 12-month FTC to cover maternity and is offered on a hybrid working basis with theirNE office based Hoults Yard, Newcastle.

You will work closely with the HR Director to deliver the vision, mission and values of the company.

With over 1000 employees globally and 400 of them in the UK, this role is to offer HR support to Directors and line managers on all aspects of HR.

Working aspart of a national HR team you will be comfortable working on your own initiative but also be experienced working with a remote team on daily tasks and company wide projects.

HR data management will play a large part of this role and regular reporting to the SLT will be required.

Previous experience in the preparation and submission of employee data reports by assembling, preparing and analysing data is required eg - Gender Paygap reporting,


Also, to provide support and the administration of HR services including conducting research and the presentation of findings in report format.

Coordinate the implementation of HR Systems and processes and supports the wider HR team in the production ofHR letters, reports, presentations, proposals and graphical board dashboards


This 12-month contract will allow you to gain experience in a more project and data based role as although employee relations will be part of your day, it is in small numbers so your time can be spent coaching and developing managers, suggesting improvements,driving change and implementing more efficient ways of working.

This includes, recruitment and selection, training and development and compensation and benefits

Due to the priorities of this role competent use of SAP - Oracle based (HRIS) is essential, as is use of web-based HR and project management systems such as OneHR, Taleo and Linked Recruiter.

CIPD level 5 or above and a minimum of 3 years' experience within a Senior Advisor/Assistant HR Manager level role required.

This is a full-time contract - Hybrid working encouraged.

Salary - £35,000 - £40,000
