    About the Role

    Are you a qualified Resus Council ALS Instructor looking for a change? Do you want to work in forensic healthcare, an area which makes a remarkable, positive and life-long difference to people's lives?

    The post-holder will have a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in an acute medical background (such as A&E, intensive care, or as a paramedic) and previous leadership experience.

    The Clinical Lead / Resuscitation Officer will support the Head of Healthcare with providing effective leadership, management, and operational support across their region and deliver ILS training to staff.

    Job Opportunity

    This is an exciting alternative career option open to RGN's and qualified Paramedics with 3+ years' post qualification experience, who hold the RCUK qualification of ALS instructor.

    As a Clinical Lead / Resuscitation Officer, you will work closely with the police and receive training and support to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner (no previous experience of forensics will be required).

    Main Responsibilities of the Clinical Lead / Resuscitation Officer

    • Delivering ILS training to staff.
    • Providing line management including supervision, appraisal, managing poor performance, and identifying CPD strategies.
    • Forensic sampling (including road traffic offence bloods).
    • Signposting and conducting referrals; offering support for vulnerabilities and supporting patients to break patterns of re-offending.
    • Delivering substance misuse therapies.
    • Assessment and care of detainees and staff in custody suites.
    • Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs.

    Essential Skills
