This small but successful and long-established specialist Financial Services business in central Birmingham is looking to strengthen their team with the appointment of an experienced and confident Company Accountant.

Reporting directly to the OperationsDirector of the business, you will assume responsibility for ensuring that all ledgers are kept up-to-date, month-end accounting, financial accounting and management accounts, VAT returns and the provision of business intelligence and financial informationto the MD - informing him of the financial position of the business at any given time.

You will also be encouraged to implement efficient controls and procedures to ensure the improvement of accuracy and processes in the finance team.


Ideally, you will:

  • Be an experienced Accountant, with good experience in a similar role for another SME business
  • Have proven communication skills with the confidence to quickly establish control the running of the accounts for the business
  • Have excellent working knowledge of Sage Line 50 accounting software.
