£38,000 - £42,000 + Car, Bonus and Benefits

Role Profile


We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our team in the Care Sector of the FMCG industry.

This role is based in Manchester and offers an attractive salary of £38,000 - £42,000.


Key Responsibilities

  • Produce a business plan for existing and new customer portfolio in line with budget
  • Provide regular reports as required by the management team
  • Provide quotes for customers to achieve agreed financial targets (Sales and Margin.
  • Liaise with purchasing to develop joint approaches to major prospect customers
  • Grow the value of existing customers by constantly seeking opportunities to extend volume, range and own brand offering
  • Understand the business USP and tailor it to add value to customer offering
  • Prospect new customers and regain lost business
  • Active participation in tender opportunities
  • Maintain existing business through effective customer contact including regular visit
  • Maintain price files and advise customers of increases and manage expectations to ensure business is retained

Sills and Experience

  • Substantial business development experience in the Care Sector
  • Proven track record of delivering successful business development strategies
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
