    Role: Maintenance Engineer

    Shifts: Double Days (Earlies and Lates Monday to Friday)

    Location: Welwyn Garden City

    Salary: £50,000 + Up to 10% Bonus + Health and Safety Bonus + Overtime

    Benefits: Various Different Bonus Schemes + Plenty of OT Paid at 1.5/2.0 + Days Only + No Weekends

    ATA are proud to be working alongside a longstanding British business that have been established for nearly 100 years. A market leading company in their market space, they have recently had a large injection of investment that has been spent on upgrades of the existing machinery, new machines, and expansion of the site. Their couldn't be a better time to join this business as they are growing consistently and have an incredibly stable Maintenance Engineering Team (They are only recruiting due to retirees forthcoming).

    The Team Leader for this role is also due to retire over the coming years so there is a real opportunity for the right Maintenance Engineer to progress through the ranks to take on a Leadership position. Alongside this progression, they are very good for training Engineers too with specific machinery training on robotics and industry specific machinery.

    The Role:

    The Role of Maintenance Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

    • Pre Planned Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance on various automated production machinery
    • Electrical Fault Finding working safely in panels, swapping out sensors, relays, contactors, drives and invertors
    • Supporting Mechanical Engineers with Maintenance on Belts, Rollers, Gearboxes, Shafts and more
    • Coming up with ideas for Continuous Improvement and implementing these with the support of the Engineering team – There is typically very little red tape in getting projects signed off.

    The Candidate:

    The Right candidate for the role of Maintenance Engineer will possess the following:

    • A Recognised Engineering Qualification
    • Be confident Fault Finding Electrically using a multi-meter
    • Work well within a team environment.
    • Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a Factory Environment (Open to Industry)
    • Have a Pro-Active approach to Maintenance, looking to improve machinery rather than waiting for it to breakdown.
