What you need to know about the role


Working within this Customer Services Support role you will be part of the team responsible for executing the Customer Services Strategy.

The purpose of the role is to support the Customer Service Department with all aspects of administration regarding compliance. You will also provide and validate data and information about all customer orders to maximise customer satisfaction.


You will take process orders through the British Steel systems, including pricing, acknowledgements, status reports and credit limit ensuring that activities are carried out promptly, accurately and in line with approved departmental and company procedures, prioritising where needed.


You will provide administration support to the Customer Services Representative's to enable the daily management of key operational tasks between the customer and British Steel.


This role will be offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide Maternity cover but there may be an opportunity for permanent employment with British Steel in the future.


What we need to know about you


We're looking for an excellent communicator who has the ability to work well within teams and, in addition, has the ability to follow procedures, aid in the documentation of order entry processes and suggest improvements where appropriate.


Ideally, you will be educated to GCSE level standard (or equivalent), particularly in Maths and English, or have experience in a similar role and possess good IT skills.

Good organisation skills, with the ability to handle detail and work accurately to deadlines is important. Knowledge of manufacturing/commercial order systems and processes is desirable.

You need to be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual able to anticipate potential problems and implement preventative actions.

Salary:
£20,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
