    Full Time Location: United Kingdom Compensation: GBP 30,000 - GBP 35,000 / year Description NCH Europe are looking for a Balance Sheet and Control Accountant to join our busy finance team.     Responsibilities consist of (but are not limited to) preparing monthly accounts and balance sheet reconciliations covering 23 countries, P&L and Balance Sheet accuracy, month-end timetable adherence timely completion of external audit PBC requests and reduction of manual journals, as well as other European accounting duties as needed.

    Key Responsibilities Accounting o Revenue recognition and bad debt provisioning o Intercompany recharging and reconciliation o GAAP-compliant treatment of FX o Accurate and timely accounting of accruals and pre-payments o Review of P&L and Balance Sheet at month-end prior to final submission o Respond to management queries and take appropriate actions for month-end close o Preparation of timely Balance Sheet reconciliations o Provide accurate and timely information for external audits and statutory filings o Apply NCH Group accounting policy and ensure compliance with US GAAP o Ad-hoc analyses Month-end activities o Continuous accounting during month to avoid bottlenecks during month-end close o Participate actively in reducing month-end closing cycle from 7 to 5 days Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Person Specification
