Position: Software Engineer

Location: South West, Birmingham (B68 0LH)

Salary: Up to £43,000

Hybrid Working (3 days in office)

You could be part of an inclusive Controls Team that are writing bespoke code for machinery, designing new features for existing software and providing solutions to complex customer issues, therefore contributing to the continuous improvement and innovation of our products.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Modify existing software to meet customer specifications.

• Design new features for current software to enhance functionality.

• Collaborate closely with customers and your team to provide effective solutions.

• Conduct on-site visits to customer locations as required.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of our current product line.

• Ensure timely and accurate engineering input for efficient order processing.

• Provide technical support to internal and external customers.

• Maintain accurate and efficient records and databases.

• Stay updated on technical knowledge related to products and industry standards.

• Ensure designs adhere to all relevant standards and regulations set by internal and external bodies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Practical experience with 'C' programming.

• Programming expertise in an embedded real-time environment.

• Experience managing a high workload and prioritising tasks effectively.

• Demonstrated ability to achieve "Right First Time" performance against cost and timescale targets.

• Positive enthusiasm and flexibility in approaching tasks and objectives.

• Consistent delivery of a high standard of service to both internal and external customers.
