    Our client is an up and coming online retail business that has recently been acquired by a large international organisation. As part of their commitment to future growth we are supporting them with a newly created position of eCommerce Director.

    This role is responsible for overseeing the strategic development, implementation, and management of all aspects of the company's eCommerce activities. This includes driving online sales growth, enhancing user experience, optimising website performance, and leading a team to achieve organisational goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Strategy Development: Develop and execute eCommerce strategies aligned with overall business objectives to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
    2. Website Management: Oversee the design, functionality, and performance of the company's eCommerce platform, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly online shopping experience.
    3. Digital Marketing: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media, to drive traffic and conversions.
    4. Customer Experience Optimization: Continuously improve customer journey and engagement by analysing data, implementing best practices, and leveraging customer feedback to enhance user experience.
    5. Inventory Management: Work closely with inventory and operations teams to optimize product assortment, availability, and fulfilment processes to meet customer demand and maximize sales opportunities.
    6. Analytics and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track sales metrics, and generate insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
    7. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing eCommerce team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
    8. Partnership Management: Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, agencies, and technology partners to support eCommerce initiatives and drive business growth.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
    • Proven track record of success in eCommerce management, preferably in a retail or consumer goods industry.
    • Strong understanding of eCommerce technologies, platforms, and trends.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
    • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
