About the role
We are looking for a Senior Environment & Sustainability Advisor to deliver environmental management requirements and actions to support our sustainability strategy across our Rail Systems business - within London & the South East and the South West of England.

Specifically, the role holder will directly support the Rail Systems Environmental Manager to:

What you'll be doing
You will contribute to the strategic implementation of our Rail sustainability plan, driving actions, monitoring
progress and reporting to senior Environmental Sustainability Team and Regional Leadership Team.
- Manage project environmental risks and opportunities, supporting project teams to develop and

Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
- Strong knowledge of environment management with the relevant experience
- Practical experience and sound knowledge of environmental statutory requirements, including
- Understanding of the benefits of working collaboratively to obtain the best outcome.
- Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
- Determination to see tasks through to completion, with excellent planning and organisation
- Interpreting and managing data via databases, consistent record keeping and writing detailed
- Full UK driver's licence and flexibility to travel.
- Literate in MS Office
- Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Professional Membership level of a relevant professional body (IEMA/CIEEM/CIWEM)
- Experience of deputising for more senior role.
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
- Good knowledge and practical experience of developing, implementing and improving EMS's
- Internal environmental auditor qualification.
- Knowledge of the Construction Industry specifically understanding of the
- Experience of taking on new challenges in a systematic and enthusiastic manner.
- Managing legislative issues for clients, including planning permissions and consents.
