    PHARMACY TECHNICIAN VACANCY

    Full Time 37.5hours – job share would be considered We are a multisite GP Practice with a list size of circa 35,000 patients, and operate a triage model of care supported by a multi-disciplinary team including GP's, ANPs, pharmacists and physiotherapists to name a few. We are looking for someone who would like the opportunity to have an impact on the future development of General Practice.

    We are a dynamic practice responding in a creative way to the changing demands of primary care by:

    Utilising concepts of demand and capacity management

    Clinical & social integration in hub-based working

    Providing quick patient access with no appointment backlog

    Main areas in this role would encompass but not limited to:

    Strives to establish joint working with colleagues in the managed and contracted sectors across disciplines and other departments

    Collects, analyses and interprets patient related prescribing and clinical data from practice computers and/or patient's notes to facilitate audits

    Supports the practice with, and undertakes when required, audits in line with current HSCP and national targets

    Undertakes medication review as directed by the practice pharmacist

    Undertakes drug information searches on an ad-hoc basis, present information obtained in a clear and concise manner and disseminate drug information to relevant practice staff.

    Works with nursing home staff, GP staff and community pharmacists to facilitate effective Medicines Management for patients and minimise waste.

    Qualifications

    The post holder will be a registrant of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

    S/NVQ level 3 pharmacy services with recognised accredited underpinning knowledge programme, or recognised equivalent as defined by the GPhC

    Recognised accuracy checking qualification

    HNC in Pharmaceutical Sciences

    Ability to travel between our two sites
