    We are looking for an experienced and suitably qualified Systems Commissioning Technician to join our Estates Department

    As Systems Commissioning Technician, you will be required to work closely with both the Engineers and the Workshop Manager assisting with the day-to-day running of the department, monitoring and controlling workshop performance, including deputising for the Workshop Manager for short term absences or annual leave.

    Testing and inspection of installations to ensure compliance with BS7671 forms a major part of this role.

    You will be qualified to a minimum of HNC in Electrical or Mechanical or Building Services Engineering with significant experience in building maintenance, preferably in a hospital environment.

    Previous experience of steam, water systems, gas, medical gases, autoclaves, Trend BMS, air-conditioning and refrigeration would also be an advantage.

    You will be required to work a split shift working pattern and to participate in the out-of-hours emergency on-call rota.

    Significant experience in building maintenance, preferably in a hospital environment
    Previous experience of steam, water systems, gas, medical gases, autoclaves, Trend BMS, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
    Previous experience of electrical installation and distribution
    A comprehensive knowledge of building services maintenance
    Good Mechanical/Electrical fault finding
    Ability to read engineering drawings
    Willing to participate in on-call rota
