    Description

    We are seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to manage and oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including menu development, food preparation, and team management. The successful candidate will have a passion for food and a proven track record of working in a team of culinary professionals, as well as possessing excellent communication and organisational skills.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Assist the Head Chef in creating, engineering and updating menus that align with the venue's culinary concept and standards;

    • Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team, ensuring they are trained in proper food preparation techniques and adhere to health and safety regulations;
    • Monitor food inventory levels and place orders with suppliers as needed;
    • Prepare and cook dishes to the highest quality standards and maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes;
    • Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and in good working order;
    • Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and manage kitchen budgets, including food and labour costs;
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including storage areas, refrigeration units, and work surfaces;
    • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
    Requirements:
    • Proven experience as a Pizza Chef, specialising in contemporary Neapolitan-style pizza
    • Strong knowledge of pizza dough, sauces, and toppings
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
