    Description

    Registered Veterinary Nurse
    Crown Vets, Fort William
    Salary up to £29,000 depending on experience plus a relocation allowance up to £1,000

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team here at Crown Vets Fort William. You will be working within a mixed practice offering a varied caseload from assisting with the large animal work to 1st opinion caseloads giving you ample opportunity to develop your skills in these areas and fully utilising your skillset to be the nurse you trained to be

    At Crown, no two days will be the same, but some daily duties will include:


    • Inpatient Nursing

    • Anaesthetic Monitoring

    • Nurse Consults

    • Outreach Clinics

    • Assisting with large animal work

    • Assist with Dentals

    • Theatre duties

    Rota

    Full time is up to 40 hours per week across 5 days between the hours of with 1:4 on call weekends and covering 1:4 Saturday mornings in clinic We can consider part time and job share for this role.

    About Crown Vets

    Crown Vets is a mixed 1st Opinion practice situated in the west highlands of Scotland. We are a Tier 2 RCVS accredited practice and Nurse training facility.

    We offer general surgery, dental surgery and diagnostics e.g., ultrasound, endoscopy and dental x-ray. We also offer acupuncture. We have the following equipment - multi parameter, endoscope, digital x-ray, IDEXX blood machines, Tonapen, ultrasound and Intravenous fluid administration pumps.

    We have 2 major ski centres and the highest mountain in the UK on the doorstep. The practice is only 2 hours from Glasgow and 1.5 hours from Inverness the capital of the highlands. There is an overnight train service to London along with some great schools.

    Currently our team consists of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 1 Auxiliary Nurse. We take part in regular charity events and attend local agricultural shows.

    Applicant Requirements

    Must be RCVS registered, ideal candidate would be flexible, passionate about providing the highest level of patient and client care. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and a team player.
