    Job summary

    Bournemouth East Collaborative Primary Care Network (PCN), situated onthe stunning Dorset South Coast, comprises four like-minded practices workingtogether in East Bournemouth, with a strong reputation on quality improvementand investing in its employees. The PCN serves a population of approximately 55,000patients with a diverse demographic.

    Practices are:

    Shelley Manor Medical Centre & Holdenhurst Road, Littledown Surgery, Beaufort Road Surgery and Southbourne Surgery.

    The PCN is committedto developing, supporting and sustaining a diverse workforce, representative ofthe community it serves.

    We are lucky that all our practices are located closeto the sea and open green spaces, with excellent transport links, schools,places of interest for the whole family and an abundance of restaurants andbars.

    We are looking to recruit a Salaried GP to work withinour Visiting service for the PCN Enhanced Care Team. This role will befor3 sessions per week, on a two-year fixed term contract, employed by Bournemouth East Collaborative PCNLtd.

    The BEC Enhanced Care Team are based at Southbourne Surgery offeringpatient care to our frailty and housebound patients, working together toprovide clinical capacity and support to our four member practices by offeringthe visiting and frailty service, as well as looking after our aligned PCN Carehomes.

    Main duties of the job

    Provideup to 3 clinical visiting sessions (ready to start at Monday,Tuesday or Thursday and Friday)

    Aminimum of 5 visits per session would be expected, subject to clinicalcomplexity and geographical distance.

    Workingwith the Lead GP & Lead ANP for Enhanced Care Team

    Provideclinical advice and guidance to the multi-disciplinary team.

    Maintainsthe highest clinical standards at all times and practices in accordance withaccepted good medical practice and service standards.

    Supportsthe development of PCN service delivery within the Enhanced Care Team.

    The BEC Treatment Centre isbased at the Shelley Manor Private Suite, and we are working to provide on theday clinical capacity to support our four member practices by offering GP andANP on the day appointments for practices to book into. We are also offering HCA, smear clinics, MSK,and Respiratory Nurse appointments, with plans for additional services to bedeveloped over time.

    As the service is continually evolving, we are looking torecruit a Salaried GP to work within our Treatment Centre Service, for up to 4 sessions per week.

    Main duties of the job

    Provide up to 4 clinical sessions (including 1 xOOH session, Monday from the Treatment Centre seeing patients fromall 4 practices.

    Working with the Lead GP for Treatment Centre.

    Provide clinical advice and guidance to themulti-disciplinary Treatment Centre team.

    Maintain the highest clinical standards at alltimes and practices in accordance with accepted good medical practice andservice standards.

    Supports the development of PCN service deliveryat the Treatment Centre

  • Qualifications

    Essential

  • GMC registered.
  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • MRCGP
  • Experience of S1 and understanding of working access multiple modules.
  • Evidence of interest in relevant additional clinical skills.
  • Enhanced DBS Clearance. Should you have this certificate as part of the DBS subscription service, we would be happy to accept this providing the original is shown. Otherwise, you will be expected to complete a new application.
