    The Role:

    We are seeking a talented Platform Engineer with specialised expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of OCI services and architecture, coupled with strong skills in DevOps practices, Terraform, Ansible, and automation. As a Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our OCI-based infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure solutions tailored to our organisation's requirements and objectives.
    • Utilise DevOps principles and practices to streamline development workflows, automate deployment processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to provision, configure, and manage OCI resources in a consistent and scalable manner.
    • Implement configuration management and automation tasks using Ansible to orchestrate complex infrastructure deployments and manage system configurations.
    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimisations to ensure optimal resource utilisation, performance, and reliability.
    • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance the security, scalability, and efficiency of our OCI environment.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams to facilitate the integration of applications with the OCI infrastructure.
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

    Requirements:

    • Extensive experience and expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including proficiency in services such as Compute, Networking, Storage, and Security.
    • Strong working knowledge of DevOps methodologies and tools, with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automation frameworks.
    • Demonstrated experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for provisioning and managing OCI resources.
    • Proficiency in configuration management and automation using Ansible for orchestration, configuration, and application deployment.
    • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks and tooling development.
    • Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices for cloud environments.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
