Location:

Salary:
£40,000 - £45,000 + bonus + benefits


The company:


Our client is one of the largest international shipping groups, headquartered in Japan with strategic hubs in London, Germany and Belgium.


Due to the continued growth of the company, we are looking for a Senior Accounts Supervisor to join the expanding Finance team.


Key tasks:


  • Assist in managing the operations of the accounting department
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Cash flow and forecasting
  • Monthly VAT preparation
  • General ledger review and nominal accounts reconciliation
  • Fixed asset activity
  • Monthly management report preparation and variance analysis
  • Month and yearend process
  • Quarterly group companies reporting
  • Prepare and/or review journal entries
  • Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce periodic financial reports or statements.
  • Preparing yearend financial statements and coordinate annual audits.
  • Assist in preparing annual budget.
  • Improve systems, procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes.
  • Assist in implementing goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Train and motivate assigned accounting personnel.
  • Assist in staff management.

General requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or above in accounting or businessrelated discipline
  • ACCA/ACA part qualified/finalist
  • 3 years or more related experience in accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Flexibility and ability to set priorities.
  • Work accurately with close attention to details
  • Organize tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks
  • Demonstrate good judgment and good problemsolving skills
  • Respond appropriately to evaluation and changes in the work setting
  • Experience in accounting practice/shipping industry is preferred

Salary:
£40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus scheme
