    Casablanca seeks a highly creative Menswear Designer to craft and evolve the Menswear collection in line with company strategy. This role entails extensive research and innovation to introduce fresh techniques, shapes, and constructions, enhancing the brand's progressive style and luxury ethos. This role will collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders.

    The role:

    • Research and development, in conjunction with Menswear design team, of seasonal / continuity / flash design concepts / directions / themes / fabrics / colours and the creation of mood boards and presentation tools (to include Product Range List), in line with 'Brand Bible' and company strategy.
    • Responsible design of Woven and Leather Menswear and the ongoing management of the design process for the menswear range through to final approval and production of samples, ensuring set timescales are adhered to in conjunction with the design team and product managers.
    • Liaising and co-ordinating with the Head of Menswear through every stage of the development process.
    • Working with the Product Managers for wovens to meet the design and costing requirements as detailed in the menswear commercial brief.
    • Working with the Fabric developer and related partners on the sourcing of fabrics, trims and components.
    • To liaise and co-ordinate with the Product Development team through every stage of the development process.
    • Assist in the initial creation of the Bill of Material document in conjunction with the Product Managers.
    • To interface with garment technologists and Atelier with regards to size specifications, technical construction and the suitability of fabric for end use.
    • Responsible for maintaining a consistent look within the menswear category but also to push new innovations within key categories.
    • Presentation of categories and developments as required.
    • Assist with the set up of showrooms and styling of the collection for shows, presentations and marketing/promotional tools.
    • Awareness of T&E budget and role related expenditure.

    The candidate:

    • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a menswear designer, preferably within the luxury fashion industry.
    • Proficiency in IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
    • Strong teamwork abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
