We're on a journey to shape the future of policing in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire and we want you to be part of it.


We are looking for a creative communicator who will lead the develop and delivery of communications plans associated with digital and organisational change within West Mercia Police.

The plans will have the overall aim of keeping our officers, staff and volunteers informed and engaged with changes across the force - including a significant digital change programme.


You will provide professional communications expertise, working closely with both the wider Corporate Communications Team and the Change Management Team to ensure all communications activity is timely and delivered in the best possible way for the audience.


We need someone who is creative, has a good eye for detail, can work at a fast pace and communicate effectively to a range of audiences.

If you have a good sense of humour, a love of being busy and a strong-work ethic you will fit in well with our team.


  • Relevant experience working in a communications team with a change and/or internal communications focus.
  • An understanding of what great communication looks like and can achieve, and how the best content and engagement can contribute to workforce engagement levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
