    Job summary

    NexusHealth Group is an at scale NHS GP primary care provider in Southwark basedacross 9 sites, all within North Southwark. We provide primary careservices to over 75,000 patients in a diverse part of Southeast London withexcellent transport links and close proximity to Central London.

    Weare at an exciting stage of our development and are looking for a committed,talented manager with excellent people skills to join our senior managementteam to support the Director of Operations in the operational leadership of theorganisation. This is for a 1 year fixed term post to cover maternityleave.

    Thepost holder will line manage our cluster based management teams and provideassurance to the Nexus Executive Board on operational delivery.

    The Senior Operations Manager will provide leadership and line management to the Cluster Service Managers in delivery of services across Nexus and support to the Director of Operations and Servicesto ensure effective day-to-day running of the organisation.

    To provide leadership and senior support to the Cluster Service Managers in the delivery of high-quality clinical services and support effective day to day performance management.

    To provide leadership and line management to the Patient Experience & Service Manager to ensure that patients receive a high quality service

    Main duties of the job

    Qualifications:

    Educated to degree or equivalent professional level

    Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development. Experience

    Demonstrable specialist knowledge in primary care

    Demonstrable practice management experience

    Evidence of meeting challenging targets

    Knowledge:

    Understanding of NHS structure and organisation and targets

    Understanding of current developments within the NHS

    Understanding of IT/Data systems applicable to Primary Care

    Knowledge of IT statutory requirements

    Experience:

    Demonstrable specialist knowledge in primary care

    Demonstrable practice management experience

    Evidence of meeting challenging targets

    Nexuswas formed in 2016 with the merging of a number of established local practicesin north look after a practice population of 76,000 patientsspread across our 9 sites. The overall aim of Nexus Health Group is to providea clinically excellent service to our patients, recognising the needs of ourlocal population and to provide a learning and developmental environment forour staff. Our clinical approach is based on a foundation of clinicalexcellence, clinical leadership and clinical governance. We are a wellrecognised training organisation.

    Our 9 sitesacross north Southwark are geographically close and well served by localtransport hubs at London Bridge, Elephant & Castle and Canada share a single patient list but our patients are attached to a specific siteand are looked after by local multidisciplinary teams which include GPs,Nurses, Physicians Associates, Paramedics, ANPs and Pharmacists. These sitebased teams are supported by Managers and administration staff, as well as centralisedHR, IT, Clinical Administration and the Senior Management Team.

    All our sitesfunction as traditional practices with a Site Manager and GP partners workingin the practice. All sites are involved in GP training and increasinglytraining the wider AHP team such as nurses and PAs. Nexus works closely withthe local PCN with 2 partners as Clinical Directors.
