Avellio is partnering with a scaling school of excellence within the education sector and recruiting on their behalf for a Web Application Developer to join the team.

We are seeking a Web Application Developer to support with the transition from a legacy platform and enhance the new internal system comprised of a bespoke booking, HR, payroll and accounting system previously operated using Microsoft Access and VBA.

The role will involve you too migrate some of these functions to a bespoke SQL Server-based web platform along with building new applications as the platform evolves.

The ideal candidate will have experience with VBA, SQL Server, HTML and JavaScript with a drive to bring new ideas and own the entire process.

Experience as a Web developer or SQL Developer
Ideally some experience with JavaScript & HTML
Experience with SQL Server
Ability to work and collaborate with senior directors
Ability to design, develop, test and release web pages and applications using predominantly T-SQL running on a cloud-based AWS on-prem SQL Server application
Convert and enhance legacy VBA code to SQL page applications
