Gi Group are working with the FM services, and we have a great opportunity for a Electrical Maintenance Operative to join their team based in Walsall
The role is to support the NHS property services to deliver building maintenance and repairs across the NHS.
This is to ensure buildings across the NHS are maintained to the highest standards to provide safe and secure environment for visitors, customers andemployees.
Purpose of the role:
- To ensure NHS buildings are maintained to the highest standards
- Getting calls daily to go out and do repairs
- To understand the importance of maintaining NHS buildings for the safety of visitors, customers and employees
- Support the Building Services maintenance team and colleagues in always providing excellent customer service.
Main Duties:
- Ensure compliance in accordance with all NHSPS Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policies, relevant NHSPS Technical Guidance, Process and Procedures, Statutory Regulations, Approved Codes of Practice and any applicable aspects of HTMs.
- Ensure that new or revised practice and policies are implemented within own work areas.
- Deliver Scheduled, Reactive and Remedial maintenance services as directed by the PPM planner (CAFM), helpdesk or Technical Services Supervisor, ensuring that operational standards are always maintained.
- Fault finding, minors repairs or installations and maintaining services and equipment within critical environments.
- Ability to assess problems to determine the best course of action, this would include complex technical issues and be able to communicate technical and or complex information to various stakeholders.
- Understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH and environment standards.
- Competency in manual handling, working at height, confined spaces, legionella & asbestos awareness.
- Able to identify electrical faults and carry out building repairs.
- Good communication, numeracy, literacy, working with IT and Office 365 or equivalent.
- Previous experience working within a building's maintenance environment.
Essential qualifications:
- 18th edition Qualification
- NVQ Level 3 electrician
- Full UK Driving Licence
