Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Sheffield Teaching Hospitals as a Trainee Nursing Associate apprentice.

If you are interested in working and learning in a dynamic healthcare environment, then this could be the role for you.

We are looking for caring, compassionate and committed individuals, to support our multi-disciplinary teams in delivering high-quality healthcare to our patients.

Nursing Associates bridge the gap between Healthcare Support Workers and Registered Nurses, delivering hands-on person-centred care, under the direction and supervision of Registered Nurses.

As a Trainee Nursing Associate, you will be employed and supported by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, with an allocated base placement area.

You will be learning in the clinical environment and academically with our partner organisation the University of Sheffield, completing a 2-year, Level 5 Foundation Degree.

In addition to working and learning on your base area of employment, you will undertake a series of alternative placements across the 2-year programme, to obtain vital experience of other health and care settings.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis, for a period of 24 months and as an apprenticeship.

The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts.

Please also note this vacancy is a training post so all applicants will start at Band 3 and upon successful completion of necessary skills and/or training will progress to Band 4.

A learner/applicant must be a UK, EEA, or EU resident for at least the past three years to undertake an apprenticeship training programme.

You will be working for an organisation which values and respects all of its staff and the community it serves.

The Trust is a leader in the NHS and research sectors and provides excellent benefits for its staff.

This includes commitments to professional development but also many policies to support employees in balancing their personal and professional lives.
