    Description
    Pivotal are currently working in partnership with a Global manufacturer of high quality recycled packaging.

    Our client are a highly reputable, well established organisation boasting over 110 sites globally with a major foothold across Europe and USA.

    Due to continued growth our client are now seeking an operationally led Operations Director.


    Responsibilities:


    Manage the day-to-day requirements of the business with regard to Safety, Quality, Costs and DowntimeCreate a customer focused continuous improvement cultureParticipate in the Development of a Production Strategy to improve production performance, maintenance performance, customer service and qualityCreate a culture to encourage and develop all employees with clear responsibilities and ownershipKeep up to date with new technologies and machinery co-ordinating with the Group's Production and Logistics Director.

    Look for new developments in production, visiting suppliers and other plantsParticipate in the Development of the Investment Plan and People Plan which supports the Production StrategyBuild an appropriate meeting and report structure which tracks performance against targets, and is used to review and improve performance and processesBuild an appropriate meeting and report structure for performance management assessment of the team with action plans to be followedRole Requirements:

    Candidates who apply will be required to hold a degree within EngineeringExperience of managing the complete operational function within a large, fast paced manufacturing plantExperience within Packaging would be an advantageChartered Engineer status would be a plusNegotiating techniques and skills, dispute resolution, etc.
