    Overview of the Department/Section

    The Japanese Corporate Banking Division (JCBD) is a London based front office function responsible for business development of customers located in United Kingdom and other demarcated countries in EMEA of which their ultimate parents are Japanese Corporates.

    The Planning Department is in charge of the Division's overall planning / control function including management support, and plays a fundamental role in conducting our day-to-day business at JCBD , by developing our strategy and assuring our quality control.

    Main Purpose of the Role

    To provide day to day secretarial and administrative support to the Head of Japanese Corporate Banking Division for EMEA, and to provide general administrative support to the whole Division, including the Planning Department.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day direct administrative and secretarial support to Head of Division including but not limited to, diary management, travel and entertainment, the preparation of papers and materials for meetings both internal and external and presentations.
  • Liaise with MUFG employees, suppliers and clients on behalf of Head of Division and other members of the Division in a professional manner when required.
  • Manage the schedule of Head of Division with customers, business partners, and MUFG colleagues and coordinate meetings both internal and external.
  • Arrange business trips and process expense claims ensuring that all costs are kept within budget and are accurately processed without any delays.
  • Provide overall day-to-day administrative support for the whole Division, including PCD, as and when required to manage the Division effectively.
  • Follow the instruction of Head of PCD on any other additional requirements.
  • Work Experience

  • Previous experience working as Personal Assistant for senior management on a one-to-one support basis preferable
  • Previous experience supporting a front office function within financial institutions is advantageous
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment is advantageous
  • Skills and Experience

    Functional / Technical Competencies:

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Access applications
  • Strong numerical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong accuracy and attention to details
  • Fluency in Japanese both written and verbal
  • Effective team player with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task effectively and to use initiative to work with minimum supervision
