    Procurement Manager | Indirects | Holiday Park Organisation

    Hertfordshire

    £50,000-£60, % bonus + 3 days per week in the office

    Overview:

    A growing UK Holiday Park Organisation who have a passion in sustainability, are looking to welcome a Procurement Manager to develop and lead category strategy development for Facilities Management and across several Indirect areas. Responsible for the execution, and sourcing activity, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, aligned to business needs, and are optimised to drive efficiencies and the best value for the business.

    This is a great opportunity for somebody to create change, add value and help drive procurement into a more strategic function.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Foster collaboration and encourages partnerships across key internal and external stakeholders to understand the business, promote and drive commercial excellence.
    • Develop and implement Category strategies, plans and pipeline activity, to deliver the agreed target benefits and improvements.
    • Challenge the status quo, whilst driving a collaborative approach and applying Change Management to deliver required outcomes.
    • Possess the ability to think 'Globally but act Locally', to ensure that the strategies implemented consider the needs of individual sites where possible.
    • Managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analysis and resolutions, developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans.
    • Research and benchmarks current market conditions/trends, supply chain capacity/capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges.
    • Strong experience of running tenders to drive commercial improvement. Comfortable in analysing and evaluating commercial proposals.
    • Ensure that contracts awarded are financially competitive, reviewing regularly to maximise cost savings.
    • Providing savings through application of strategic sourcing methodologies.
    • Sound understanding of economic factors which will impact on market sectors and approaches to minimise cost pressures and reduce commercial risk.

    Skills and experience required

    • Facilities Management knowledge and experience is highly desirable. Have experience of working across different Indirect categories would also be of benefit.
    • Working in a Matrix environment, understanding the needs of multiple stakeholders and ability to drive the right agenda for the business, bringing people together despite conflicting opinions to develop a team consensus.
    • Having worked in a Procurement team which applies Category Management methodologies and principles.
    • Negotiating complex
    • Working in a fast-paced, changing environment where they have had to think in an agile manner to ensure solutions to problems were implemented, whilst prioritising multiple projects and demands of their time.
