    Schroders Portfolio & Planning team manages our change delivery portfolio oversight including budget (cost and benefit management), portfolio analytics, PMO assurance and governance functions, that together enable the firm to strategically manage the Groups book of delivery work.

    We require an individual to manage and provide leadership for the Portfolio & Planning team. The individual will have excellent analytical and strategic mindset, working in collaboration with and reporting directly to the Global Head of Business Transformation to advise senior management to make informed decisions. A diligent individual who excels at synthesising and translating complex local and global information and data into simple, clear messaging. Someone who operates well with ambiguity. This role supports Global Head of Business Transformation and Group Chief Operating Officer owning Group Change Policy and Minimum standards which form part of the Group Change Management and Delivery framework. The individual needs extensive experience on change financial management as well as governance and supporting processes.

    The team

    You will be part of Business Transformation at Schroders. Business Transformation designs and delivers complext programmes of work and solutions to enterprise level challenges and consists of a number of specialist practices: Business Transformation Solutions, Enterprise Change Delivery, Complex Client and Commercial Solutions Delivery and Portfolio and Planning. This role will operate interactively with multiple change functions across all divisions and regions. The individual will sit at Business Transformation leadership team and support the Global Head of Business Transformation manage the team as well as the change portfolio. We need a leader who is good at empowering the team, leading by example and creating a positive, supportive environment for the team to thrive.

    What you'll do

    · Build upon the existing Portfolio practices and tools, actively looking for opportunities to improve transparency and efficiency in our Group change delivery and management.

    · Lead improvement of the Change Portfolio financial processes, including our change budgeting cycle, Capitalisation, R&D, Value return to promote unambiguous financial planning with agreement to ensure transparency.

    · Be a part of designing and updating the Change Delivery Operating Model.

    · Understand and align change delivery book of work to Group strategy.

    · Ensure integrity and single source of truth stewardship of delivery portfolio detail. Be willing to challenge.

    · Collaborate closely with Risk, Compliance, Finance, Technology and Change functions.

    · Ensure all regions are considered and represented.

    · Identify and drive opportunities to automate existing change management, governance processes and change reporting.

    · Scenario planning for both financial and resourcing setting management to support budget allocation and prioritisation decision making.

    · Continuously improve the service model between Portfolio and Planning and Domain Change functions to ensure portfolio insights are gathered and changes are governed in an efficient manner.

    · Act as a deputy for the Group Head of Change in key change oversight and governance forums

    The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

    · Must have experience of leading a Change Portfolio Planning team or EPMO function

    · Must have change delivery experience and have used multiple methodologies throughout delivery lifecycle (agile, waterfall etc.)

    · Must have experience of managing and prioritising a global book of work (both resourcing and finances)

    · Must have experience working and presenting with senior stakeholders e.g. Group COO, Group CFO

    · Passion for strategic thinking, with experience in business analysis, strategy development, business case development and Change Management.

    · Great stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills

    · Ability to work in high levels of ambiguity

    The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

    · Experience in Finance processes and reporting, ideally qualifications in accountancy

    · Talented with Excel, experience with managing a PPM tools (Keyed In & ADO) and Power BI is preferred.
