Administration Assistant

Permanent full time (37.5 hours per week)

£22,522 per annum (£11.55 per hour)

We have ambitious plans to improve and extend our care service provision in the community over the next 12 months and beyond.

We maintain our outstanding level of services through great people, and we're looking to add to our team so we can reach more people in our community who need access to our care.


We are looking for a competent, reliable individual who can use their own initiative to work both on their own and as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced workplace environment.


The post provides administration support within the Central Support Team and Care Services, who in turn support all other departments within the Hospice.


Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the Purchase Order System and matching to Supplier Invoices.
  • Preparing Care Service patient packs.
  • Recording patient evaluation data.
  • Recording and distributing Support Services meeting minutes and action logs, sending out agendas, booking meeting rooms.
  • Ordering supplies, uniforms and equipment.
  • Maintaining Care staff and volunteers training matrix
  • Be experienced in the use of Excel and Word. Use of other packages for example Sage and Systmone
  • Any other administration duties as required.
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the role also involves working with the Care Services Team.
  • Office based and working as a positive member of staff who contributes to administration functions as required. Able to work on own initiative with a can do attitude, as part of a small team, regularly meeting deadlines.
