Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in the Mill Hill area of Barnet, North-West London?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join this Special Needs School in Barnet, North-West London, on a full-time basis.

This is a long-term role starting in January 2023 for the full academic year, payingbetween £80.00 and £95.00 per day on PAYE.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant will be working in a KS1 class with 10 pupils and six members of staff including a class teacher.

All pupils have a diagnosis of Autism and Moderate Learning needs, with all pupils being verbal and fairly independent.

This schoolhas a whole curriculum dedicated to sensory learning, with 3 state of the art sensory rooms to teach pupils about relaxation, help them to be alert and calm and to help regulate pupils sensory processing.

The main responsibility within the classroom is tobuild motivation, encouragement for learning and to minimise distraction.

The school is a modern purpose-built facility with playgrounds equipped for physical exploration and interactive play. It has a fantastic reputation in the borough and has received Ofsted Outstanding for the past 3 Ofsted inspections.

Located in Barnet, Edgware, the school has on-site parking for those who drive and is easily accessible via Thameslink trains, the Northern Line, Jubilee Line and several popular bus routes.

Essential Requirements:

Experience supporting young people with autism and other special educational needs.
Previous support work, TA or LSA work within a Primary School or other related experience.
A caring and professional manner, willing to support with the personal care of pupils.
Must have legal right to work in the UK.
