    Elusav Recruitment are recruiting for Electrical CX Engineers for our client, a leading European contractor who specialise in Data Centres, Pharmaceuticals, Semiconductors and Power industries. They have a fantastic reputation for treating staff well and have low attrition rates. Great opportunity to get involved with one of Europe's leading contractors.

    The Electrical CX Engineer will be based in Slough England and perform the duties & responsibilities listed below. This is a full time permanent opportunity with development & progression opportunities available.

    Responsibilities:

    • Management of the Electrical Systems under your control.
    • To support the engineering requirements through managing & liaising with Key Project Stakeholders (Client design team, Main contractor, Suppliers, Sub-contractors, etc).
    • Familiarisation of Design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope of the Project works. Overseeing the Co-ordination process to transform design information into full installation drawings by BIM personnel ensuring spec compliance and as per schedule priority. This will require generation/management of Requests for Information (RFI), Technical Queries etc.
    • Management of Site QA in conjunction with Clients QA Manager including set up, management and close out of file
    • Management of all aspects associated with your package including:

    Clients Electrical Team

    Sub-contractors

    Material deliveries and goods receipting.

    • Management of all day to day site operations.
    • Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and staffing levels. Ensuring adequate information flow to ensure works progress and Weekly Meeting logged.
    • Ensure Works are installed in accordance with Project specifications and to the Project QA plan (for e.g. pre-agreed benchmarking).

    • Issue direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to time administrator for tracking centrally.
    • Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
    • Close out of all project deliverables including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the support of the site project manager and your project team.
    • Information reporting will be an essential activity to ensure activity targets/deadlines are met to support the project team. There will be an Engineering Task Log generated and managed by the Engineering Lead
    • Issue internal weekly progress report rolled up from project supervisors report. This will highlight progress percentage complete based on WBS codes and any concerns. It should also highlight any risk elements within the control of Client, eg: late deliveries.
    • Issue external weekly progress report, to the project manager, highlighting areas not available, delays, short-age of design, third party hold ups and percentage complete.
    • Preparing Sub-contract and Supplier Tender Packages in conjunction with Project QS.
    • Assessment of Sub-contract and Supplier Tender returns for technical compliance with design intent specifications.
    • Evaluate and promote the use of new engineering practices and processes to enhance delivery time of the project.
    • Manage BIM priorities i.e. support team to develop modular concepts, Typical fabrication details and Iso-metrics generation and to release for construction. Validation of materials/assets within the model are also to be verified for construction. Change management is a critical process to be understood and controlled.
    • You will be responsible to support and coach all junior engineers assigned to the project team their development is crucial to our organisation and industry.

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years' experience working with a recognised Mechanical/Electrical contractor
    • Proficient in use of systems software related to Engineering functions
    • Familiar with Project /Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM process
    • Ability to manage workload and prioritise
