Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a EC&I Engineer with a background in the nuclear or defence sector to be engaged on a permanent basis in either Warrington, Leicester, Preston or Bristol with hybrid working.

The role is to contribute to the design of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) systems solutions. Provision of cost-effective engineering design solutions and high-quality customer service.
Ensure successful delivery of high-quality engineering works to time, quality, budget and customer satisfaction.
This may include functional safety, FEED, specifications, high level and detailed design, coding, testing, installation and commissioning activities.
Verification of junior engineer's EC&I technical documentation.
Capable of working on diverse projects under senior supervision.

Knowledge and experience of a broad range of electrical control equipment and its application in automated and safety related systems.

Knowledge of electrical and safety sector standards including BS EN 61508.
Experience in design, substantiation, verification & validation, safety justification of high integrity software-based protection and/or safety control systems.

Knowledge of PLC programming and system integration, HMI and SCADA configuration and development, software testing techniques and experience of installation and commissioning of PLC / SCADA systems.

Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems.
AutoCAD experience.
