    Description
    An Exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Craftsperson (Electrical) to join our multi-disciplined Estates Team.


    The Estates Department is responsible for the repair, maintenance and management of all Building and Engineering Services within the Trust.


    The post holder will have completed a recognised apprenticeship, have an electrical background and will be responsible for the provision of engineering maintenance services primarily for the Trust owned buildings within the Teesside locality of the Trust.

    To provide an efficient and cost-effective maintenance and repair service to all properties owned or leased by the Trust.

    Carry out installation and improvement works across all contracted sites, in accordance with organisational standards and national legislation.

    To assist other trades and contractors, in accordance with service need.


    To ensure that all tools, equipment and machinery used in the performance of duties are tested and maintained to meet current requirements at all times.

    To show commitment to and participate in quality improvement activities.

    To promote at all times a positive image of people with mental health conditions and/or learning disabilities. Perform duties covering the maintenance and operation of equipment including statutory testing of safety devices and specialised plant.

    Successful completion of recognised electrical bias apprenticeship (electrical, heating and ventilation, refrigeration and air-conditioning.
    NVQ Level 3 (Electrical Bias) or equivalent and relevant qualification.
    Numeracy and Literacy to level 2

    Ability to travel independently in accordance with Trust policies and service need.
    Will participate in the on-call rota as required.
    Able to work in confined spaces.

    Multi-skilled electrical experience.
    Significant post- apprenticeship experience in an electrical Discipline.

    Working knowledge of electrical systems within large complex properties.
    Comprehensive knowledge of electrical plant.
    Knowledge of building management systems.
    Working knowledge of Water Regulation Advisory Scheme
