Although "Team Lead" in name - Your role will be truly Management and leadership focused. Whilst you'll understand the tech under your remit, your role will largely be people management focused where you'll be running a team of circa 10 Developers within a very hands-off role. (So no-coding) In addition you'll be prioritising work alongside other Team Leaders so essentially you'll kinda wear a PM hat - understanding and considering how other projects affect yours - how to improve tools, process and tech.

You will indirectly manage teams of Software Developers including middleware and business intelligence professionals. These include some of the very best SQL Server database developers and polygot Engineers (including emerging tech like Golang - as well as largely.
NET Development teams and specialist JavaScript teams)

There is HUGE investment in tech here and as your new company enter new markets, your role as Software Engineering Manager will see you delivering business intelligence, authentication and interactive solutions which haven't been developed before at this scale.

You'll benefit from a wider leadership group to hone your own management skills.

They also have an established structure in place which recognises and rewards performance, and they have a strong staff retention rate too.

A family run firm - the family feel here is evident in the company culture, where people are straight-talking, informal and very non-corporate.

You'll enjoy working within an informal environment where people can't afford to get tied down with bureaucratic processes or meetings about meetings

Working in a hybrid set-up (With just 2 days in the city centre office in Stoke-On-Trent), your team develop public-facing websites, high transaction systems, complex trading tools, tools for advertising on third party websites, and large-scale internal system rewrites.

I'm recruiting for both back-end as well as front-end teams.

So you have the option essentially chose you choice of team -.NET, SQL, or TypeScript within an environment that releases often so quality is paramount.
