Best Selling Author Calls for the Return of Trust in Business

A recent publication by Business Mondays, published a recent interview on Geoff Hudson-Searle, that focused on a return of trust to business.
 

corporate leaders today are measured by a new yardstick. The supreme test of a CEO and boards of directors is now the value they create not just for shareholders, but for all stakeholders.

Research that I carried out for The Trust Paradigm shows that trust is the key to success. Yet growing distrust, cynicism and misinformation is eroding confidence in corporate impact and ESG.

To prosper in the age of stakeholder capitalism, companies must actively cultivate the trust of employees, investors, customers, regulators and corporate partners: developing strategies to understand these stakeholders more intimately, implementing deliberate trust-building actions, tracking their efforts over time, and communicating openly and effectively with key stakeholder groups.

Companies that acknowledge and act on the need to earn trust with their stakeholders will position themselves to lead; those that don’t put themselves at risk.

Geoff, Got my copy of the book yesterday. On a short fuse to prepare a speech for Thursday as I'm filling in for a keynoter that cancelled. I got the call Monday afternoon. But I will get to the book, possibly this weekend.
