Purpose of the role:
As an Underwriting Support Administrator you will provide support to underwriting teams, carrying out administrative tasks and liaising with other teams ensuring the underwriters can focus on developing their portfolios.
Duties and accountabilities:
- Development of underwriting and technical knowledge to support the role
- Resolution of outsource provider queries in relation to messaging, Intrali, workflow and Lloyd's Brussels
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with Underwriting teams
- Provide administrative support to underwriters, including;
- Management of daily workflow, in particular queries and adhoc questions via the Operations inbox
- BAU, Document Management System, AEGILITY and OpenBox administration
- Assist with quality control checks for Intrali VIPR, endorsement entry and risk capture where required
- Provide system training to new starters once established
- Create and maintain system training materials for our internal HUB
- Assist with month and Year end closing
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with outsource provider
- Assist with UAT processes and when required
- User Acceptance Testing as required
- Various adhoc projects
Skills, knowledge and experience:
- Be computer literate, they should have the ability to develop a full understanding and capability of inhouse and MS systems including a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
- Be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent with numerical and analytical ability including grade A-C in Maths and English. Also prepared to study towards Chartered Insurance qualifications
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail and ability to look at the wider picture when problem solving
