The role

  • Proactively support service delivery team contributing to the success of the Marine & Offshore team.
  • Basic Understanding and interpreting UK Offshore legislation. Understanding the principles of risk management and interpreting an offshore installation safety case.
  • Provide technical assistance, as requested, to Marine & Offshore Surveyors.
  • Control of 'management of change' processes for a variety of clients
  • Provide good control of assigned work, including communicating with clients, financial control, and timely and accurate reporting.
  • Work closely with colleagues from other departments and business streams, encouraging collaboration and supporting business interests.
  • Work in accordance with role profile and behavioural competencies for the band and work with the team to ensure that they achieve their behavioural competencies for their band.

What You Bring

  • Be safe in what you do, living and promoting Lloyd's Register's safety culture.
  • Basic knowledge to obtain authorisations to enable survey of electrical and mechanical SECEs.
  • Preferred but not necessary: Awareness of verification and/or class, statutory and engineering experience with a working knowledge of international codes and standards applicable to the energy business stream.
  • A proven track record of relevant transferable skills and experience.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to find solutions, the role requires confidence in making decisions, sometimes under pressure, and an understanding of the commercial aspects of the work.
  • Displays a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment and ability to work both independently and as part of a team with colleagues in person.
  • Be a selfstarter. We are continuously developing how we do things to support our customer's goals and will look to you to contribute your ideas to help shape new ways of working.
